Longview 2 deployed on the Lebanon border

VIT has recently completed the first installations of a number of Longview 2 surveillance cameras on the northern Lebanese border. These installations are part of a UK Government funded program to support the Lebanese Army in providing reassurance to the local communities and boosting security in the region.
These deployments, on a string of watchtowers, are part of a programme aimed at establishing a security framework in the Northern region of Lebanon where the border region with Syria is prone to disruption and conflict.
Longview 2 will offer commanders the ability to record events as they happen and with the powerful ultra low light and high contrast sensors Longview 2 will provide them with a true day and night observation capability.
