CAMERA VISION IS NOT FOGGED!
Visitors from around the world watched demonstrations of VIT Security Group’s new Fog Camera at the international exhibition of internal state security, Milipol, in Paris.
The camera, which sees through smoke and fog where other cameras cannot, generated considerable interest in Paris at the end of November and a number of orders have been taken as a result.
It can be used in applications for civil defence in areas where landing in or driving through fog and dust can be hazardous, for military uses for viewing through smoke, by coast guard services requiring distance viewing to combat piracy and for underwater maritime applications. It is also ideal for airports where landing in fog can be hazardous.
Visitors to the VIT Security Group stand were able to watch demonstrations of the camera in action in comparison with standard cameras.
It compliments the VIT 53 low light product range and can be used in the Periscope camera, as part of the Longview 6 to 100x Zoom lens and also works with the VIT Equaliser recording system.
VIT Security Group is a known brand for high quality evidential video surveillance. Its military grade cameras provide the missing link between thermal and normal ccd camera technology, setting new standards for clarity of viewing.
Commenting on the reaction to the new Fog Camera, VIT Security Group CEO Dave Harmon said: "Our new camera, which is the result of extensive research and testing, was well received by representatives from a range of sectors. We are pleased that it received the welcome we anticipated.”
