HIGH-FLYING SPONSORSHIP DEAL

VIT Security Group is providing cameras and recording equipment to world class aerobatics champion Mark Jeffries as part of a new sponsorship deal.

Onboard in Jeffries’ Extra 330sc is a video system designed and manufactured by Hertford-based VIT which relays live images to the ground using a microwave downlink.

The system has a number of other features that make it ideal for the pilot’s purposes – the camera is gravity defying to 9g in a turn, the system delivers high resolution images regardless of the environment in which it is filming and is a low power unit.

It has already been used this year (2010) by Jeffries in Dubai, Switzerland and Bahrain (for the F1 grand prix), where it performed exactly as required.

Commenting on Jeffries’ use of the system, VIT Security Group CEO Dave Harmon said: “The characteristics of the equipment that Mark Jeffries uses for his filming purposes are the same as those used by our clients in more usual surveillance situations.

“Attributes such as being able to work in extreme environments, provide very high quality images and use of a microwave downlink make them ideal for Mark as well as for our clients in the military, third-party security partners, blue-chip corporates, police forces and central and local government.”

The VIT Security Group equipment has been provided to Mark Jeffries as part of a two-year sponsorship deal.
