VIT Security Group Appoints David Wood as Executive Chairman
VIT Security Group, the leading designer and manufacturer of evidential quality surveillance solutions, today announces that David Wood has been appointed as its Executive Chairman.
Having led equally successful careers in both the military and commercial worlds, David brings to his new role a strong background in defence and security, as well as a wealth of senior-level leadership experience. Speaking of David’s appointment, CEO of VIT Security Group, Dave Harmon said: “We are delighted that David has joined our company as Executive Chairman. His background and personal achievements ideally suit him to drive the growth of VIT and capitalise on the ten years of research and development that has created VIT’s world beating products.”
Prior to joining VIT Security Group, David led a distinguished career in the British Army spanning more than twenty years, during which time he worked at the top level of the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall. Upon retiring from the army in 2001, David founded a successful defence and security consultancy which he grew to a turnover of approximately $50m by 2010. Currently, alongside his executive position at VIT Security Group, David is also actively involved with of a number of other companies on a non-executive basis.
